Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Brewer to join our team and assist in producing high-quality, consistent soda and beer. The Brewer will be responsible for all aspects of the brewing process, from raw ingredient handling to fermentation, filtration, cellaring, and quality control. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to cleanliness and safety, and a love for brewing craft beverages.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily brewing operations of soda and beer.
• Monitor brewing and fermentation progresses and ensure quality and consistency.
• Clean and sanitize tanks, kegs, equipment, and work areas to maintain a sanitary brewing environment in adherence to GMPs and SQF requirements.
• Transfer soda and beer between tanks using sanitary practices.
• Maintain detailed brewing logs and production records.
• Monitor raw material inventory and report needs to the Head Brewer.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety and cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot equipment and brewing process issues as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous brewery experience preferred.
• Formal degree from an accredited brewery program a plus.
• Understanding of brewing science and fermentation.
• SQF experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Superior knowledge of the beer industry and beverage industry in general.
• High school diploma or equivalent / Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field a plus.
• Forklift certification a plus
• Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail
• Incredibly organized and able to design systematic approaches for quality improvement
• Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the job.
• Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long period of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching.
• Must have the ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and safety handle hazardous materials.
