Elite Private Chefs is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and discreet Private Chef. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of the family's culinary needs in an exclusive, high-end setting. As the Private Chef, you will be expected to create exceptional, personalized meals that cater to the clients' tastes, dietary preferences, and health needs. Discretion, professionalism, and a strong passion for fine dining are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

A warm and welcoming household is seeking a kind, compassionate, and skilled Private Chef to prepare high-quality, family-friendly meals on a long-term basis. Must be kind and good with children. No allergies or dietary restrictions.

About the Household:

  • 2 adults, 3 children (ages 4, 2, 1)

  • Kids eat what adults eat

  • Occasional weekly small dinner party

  • High standards for professionalism and discretion

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday 

  • Occasional breakfast can be requested

  • Lunch between 12:00–1:30 PM 

  • Dinner around 5:30–6:30 PM 

  • Enjoys simple to elegant desserts

  • You will be responsible for shopping, cooking and cleaning of kitchen

Cuisine Preferences:

  • Preferred: American, Italian, French, Spanish, Mexican

  • No Indian or Thai cuisine

  • Family-style preferred, flexible for plated service

  • Light dessert daily (especially for kids)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a private or professional chef

  • Warm, respectful, and professional

  • Strong culinary skills and high attention to detail

  • Clear communicator; will report directly to head of household (John)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $95,000+ /year for 4-day schedule

  • Benefits: Health Insurance & Paid Time Off-(2 weeks / year)

  • Culinary Excellence: Prepare gourmet meals for the client and guests, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. 
  • Customized Menus: Develop personalized menus based on clients' preferences, seasonal availability, and dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, keto, etc.). You will also create tailored meals for any special events or occasions.
  • Private Entertaining: Manage the preparation and execution of meals for private events, dinner parties, or intimate gatherings, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experience.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, presentation, and cleanup. Ensure that the kitchen is always stocked with high-quality ingredients and that meals are prepared with precision.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate any additional kitchen staff, including sous chefs, assistants, or household staff members involved in meal preparation and service.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene within the kitchen and all related areas. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory, ordering, and sourcing of premium ingredients and supplies. Establish relationships with exclusive purveyors, ensuring access to the finest products.
  • Dietary Expertise: Adapt to the clients health needs or preferences, providing nutrition-rich meals that support wellness and specialized diets.
  • Personalized Service: Offer a customized, attentive culinary experience by anticipating the clients needs, ensuring that meals are tailored and served to their specific expectations.
  • Equipment & Maintenance: Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure regular cleaning and servicing of high-end kitchen appliances. Schedule repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Event Planning & Coordination: Coordinate with event planners or family members to execute seamless, luxury dining experiences, whether in the home or off-site.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Private Chef, preferred experience working for elite clients, celebrities, or in luxury settings.
  • Culinary Degree or Equivalent: A degree in culinary arts from a reputable institution is highly preferred.
  • Discretion & Professionalism: You must demonstrate the utmost discretion and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of your role.
  • Exceptional Culinary Skills: Expertise in fine dining, gourmet cuisine, and specialized diets. Ability to adapt to a variety of cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Personalized Service: Strong understanding of personalized dining, anticipating the preferences and needs of the family and guests.
  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, remain organized, and handle complex meal preparation schedules.
  • Attention to Detail: An eye for perfection in food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing schedules, special events, or last-minute requests while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Health-Conscious Cooking: Experience with nutrition and providing meals tailored to specific health goals or dietary requirements (e.g., weight management, detox, etc.).
