Job Description

Vandebilt Catholic High School is seeking coaches for Volleyball, Wrestling and Swim. The coaching positions can be faculty or non-faculty, below summarizes the overview of Vandebilt's coaching role.

Faith and Spirituality:

• Coaches should foster a spiritual environment that encourages faith and prayer.
• They can incorporate faith-based principles into their coaching approach, such as emphasizing the importance of perseverance and resilience as virtues.
• Coaches should be role models of faith and character, demonstrating a commitment to the Catholic faith both on and off the field.

Teamwork and Community:

• Emphasize the importance of teamwork and cooperation, fostering a sense of community among athletes.
• Encourage athletes to support and respect each other, recognizing that everyone has a role to play in the team's success.
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment where all athletes feel valued and respected.

Integrity and Ethical Behavior:

• Coaches should model integrity and ethical behavior, teaching athletes the importance of honesty, fairness, and respect for opponents.
• They should emphasize the importance of playing by the rules and respecting the game.
• Encourage athletes to make responsible decisions and to be accountable for their actions.

Respect and Reverence:

• Coaches should treat all athletes and staff with respect and reverence, regardless of their background or abilities.
• They should create a safe and inclusive environment where athletes feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions.
• Encourage athletes to show respect for their coaches, teammates, and opponents.
