As a Controls Account Executive , you'll be the first hire in a brand-new group, with the chance to lead and shape the controls business from the ground up. This role involves developing new relationships while also maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships, offering direct exposure to leadership, strong support, and a clear runway for growth.

Location: South Florida (Miami-Dade Broward and Palm Beach. The ideal located somewhere in the middle.

Reports to: VP of Sales

Direct Reports: None initially, but leadership potential as the business scales

Compensation: $85K base + car allowance+ uncapped commissions (realistic first-year OTE: ~$120K++

Ideal Background

• Experience in building automation systems (BAS) / controls (DDC, BMS)
• Currently in a sales, project management, or project engineering role
• Located in South Florida with deep knowledge of the local market
• Fluent in Spanish
• Proven experience or strong desire to transition into sales with an understanding of estimating pricing and closing work
• Comfortable selling retrofit, new construction, and service work , often in coordination with internal sales and PM teams
• Familiar with CRM tools

What Success Looks Like

• ~$1–2M in controls sales in year one
• Build a strong pipeline of self-sourced and internal leads
• Collaborate effectively with project sales and construction teams
• Participate in internal pricing strategy
• Bring a team-player mentality , able to navigate internal personalities and clients
