Property Accountant
Location : Atlanta, GA - Battery (75/285)
Industry: Commercial Real Estate
On-Site : Daily (5x a week)
Vaco is partnering with a growing client seeking a Property Accountant to support the VP of Accounting and property management team. This role is responsible for handling financial transactions, assisting with tenant charges, vendor management, and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable processes. Candidates must have 5 years of property accountant experience for consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly rent deposits, tenant charges, and AP invoices.
- Manage vendor statements, real estate tax bills, and reimbursements.
- Assist with property onboarding, utility transfers, and insurance tracking.
- Oversee credit card payments and commission processing.
- Reconcile monthly statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and update property budgets in financial systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in real estate accounting, preferably commercial real estate (required)
- Systems: Yardi or MRI, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc), Outlook, and Word. (required)
- Local metro Atlanta candidates will be considered for this position. (required)
